Amazing [the pond]
the Wildcam feed just flipped over from "NightVision" to colour! the activity is amazing.. the sound is amazing, "birds chirping, monkeys screaming"... WOW!
Pete's Pond Wildcam v2
this is amazing! about an hour and a half ago, i witnessed a group of four bushpigs!
i buddy of mine happened to have stopped by to say hello...
WOW! as i type this an Impala [or perhaps a waterbuck... but pretty sure an impala] walked up to the pond as is having a drink! amazing... as it grows lighter there... so much detail is coming through the cam... I can't wait until my boys see this.
ok, back to my buddy... he strolls in... and i'm trying to explain the "Pete's Pond" story... and sure enough, as he looks, the bushpigs stroll out of the foilage... couldn't have planned it any better.
Pete's Pond Wildcam
i have a new obsession... "waiting for animals to come drink from a watering hole in Africa via a webcam"
... so far i've seen a bird drinking from the water... and a number of bugs flying around... can't wait until 7 am Botswana time to see the peak activity.

Beginners 5K Schedule
the fat boy is a runnin'...
i've been stuck in a rut for some time now... and have finally grown weary of it.
i love drinking... [no! surely you jest!]... and "moderation" is for the weak.... i've decided to exhaust myself via a running program... use something healthy, other than alcohol, to help me sleep through the night... help me wrestle my demons [although, i'm not sure which demons i'm running from... life is ok in the "grand, relative sense" of the word]
regardless... i'm half way through the third week of my 6 week, 5K training program... i feel sorry for the neighbours... big scary bald pasty white guy lumbering down your street, wheezing, on the verge of barfing up a lung... not so pretty!.. but chicks dig it!
having run [today] 10min... followed by a 10min. walk... i can honestly say that i yearn for the program from week 1... jog 1 min., walk 1 min. [for 20min. in total]...
the running is having the desired affect... i can barely stand alcohol after a run, even hours after the run... maybe one or two drinks... not the standard "magnum of red wine" and crash... while i don't sleep as soundly through the night, i'm sure it is a much healthier rest.
if anyone wants the program, here you go...runto.ca.
also... it doesn't hurt to be bouncing around 220lbs again.
