wow... never imagined him gone.

everyone has a story to tell... so i'll tell you mine.

Brian organized a bus trip to detroit to see the ducks play the wings... and the lions play a team, i think pittsburgh. Brian needed some bodies to fill out the tour, so i said i would come. i had been up all night working to make this trip... show up at the bus bleary eyed, and exhausted...

travelled to windsor... crossed the border that night to watch the wings game... and returned to the hotel.

i think most of the guys were going out to the Casino, but i was too exhausted... i begged Brian to wake me up in the morning, so i wouldn't miss the bus. i even gave him a key to my room, explaining how tired i was, and that i hoped he wouldn't leave for the game without me.

first knock i my door said "housekeeping!"

i showered, packed, and ran down to the front desk... "is the bus close?"

"nor sir, they left."

"can i pay for my room?"

"no sir... they paid for it."

"how much is a taxi to pontiac, michigan?... or how much is a taxi to Toronto?"

the football game was $10 cheaper... so i met them there... as soon as i walked into the bar in the endzone [at halftime]... Brian, from across the bar at all times kept sending me double rums... and ensuring i was always safely in the opposite end of the bar.

a story i will love telling forever.
